Mickey Callaway just got canned by the Mets.

He was a bad manager, but was an outstanding pitching coach in the AL for Cleveland. He has that quirky personality like Maddon, so I could see them hitting it off well. 

He also has history with Maddon and the Angels in 2002, getting a ring.

Throwing low isn’t nearly as effective as it used to be.

I have one even simpler rule.  Don't put any men on base.

The new analytics do not agree.  The best approach by the pitcher will now be determined by a supercomputer in the dugout requiring 3,456 different inputs.
