Cool, you found an article that says the US was favored.  Many pundits, including a lot in the american media favored France over the US, which is where much of their attitude comes from.  It is also why their match and win against France earlier was so important.

I do care about an athlete, while representing the country, refusing to honor the country by saying their actions were “an F U to Trump.” This isn’t about him and it isn’t about her. I find it terribly disrespectful.

I had little interest when it started then the politicizing of it, the over the top celebrations in a blow out and seeing the tea celebration on sports pages completely turned me off to it.  Too many articles out there have made it about something it shouldn't be (the individuals) when it's a team sport.  I've been turned off by the same things in other sports as well.  I'm not rooting against them I just wont be watching.

I didn't even know the Womens World Cup was playing until like the quarters.  It used to be the only Soccer that I'd watch that was passable.  But then I remembered that even with tits, it was still soccer and got bored.
