I’m curious - how in the world do you authenticate it once you leave the stadium? As far as I know there’s nothing distinctive about it. Seems like it would be worthless once he leaves the park? Is the dude just indifferent/an idiot?

Maybe he doesn't care about anyone else's opinion.  He is planning on keeping it?

Here's a picture of the lowlife scumbag. Let's make his picture go viral so maybe someone will wipe that smug look off his face.

What on earth are you talking about?

They offered a couple of signed bats. Bfd. I wouldn't want that shit either.

What is wrong with you?

There is a MLB authenticator at every game and he will document every thing about the ball and put a unique hologram on the ball. This will be proof that ball is authentic. He did not get that done so now there is now no way to verify the ball is the actual ball hit by Pujols. He may be fine with that the value of the ball is in doubt.

I wonder why he didn't get it authenticated? Even if he wanted to keep it, I would imagine that they would still offer to authenticate the ball. So, that way wherever the ball ends up in the future, they will know its significance.

I hope the fan is happy with his non-authenticated baseball which is basically worthless.

He could have had signed memorabilia from three future Hall of Famers that combined, will be worth thousands some day.

He said he didn't care about the money. It's obviously worth something to him.

Why is this so difficult for people to grasp?

They offered him a lot more than that. I was overhearing the conversation among Tigers officials. He could have met Pujols, gotten a picture with the ball, all sorts of signed stuff and tickets and whatever.
