 I actually heard someone recently say that the margin on beer is low compared to other ballpark menu items... things like bottled water, cotton, candy, etc.

Well the price for "premium" beer has gone up significantly every year.  It was "only" about $10 just a few years ago and now is 50% more this year at $15 a beer.

Also I usually don't pay $200 to get in (plus parking).

It’s good to read that the Angels are in great financial shape, and that Arte isn’t afraid to say so. Not all team owners like to say anything about their financials. To me it signals, as has always been the case, that the team will spend to put the best product on the field.

i know the prices get high for us fans (I’m planning a trip out to ANA next month), but that is all driven by demand. If people weren’t willing to pay it, the team(s) wouldn’t charge as much.

Well they do allow you to bring water into the park as long as it hasn't been opened yet. I haven't bought water at the stadium in very long time.

we always bring in bottled water. Have a beer, then drink water the rest of the way.

Its called perspective Jay.  It is a cheap beer for the setting.  You understand this, but you fail to acknowledge it.  It would be like complaining that it cost $10 to go to Petco Park because it doesn't cost $10 to go to a regular park.

Hopefully the Angels will not follow other teams that no longer allow that in the name of “safety”. I like that I can bring a few things in that my kids will like.
