You're almost certainly in a higher tax bracket than I am and you probably pay California taxes, but a wise man once said: "Boo fucking hoo".

I don't know your situation and it's none of my business, but given how most of you guys who complain about taxes are pretty well-off, I think it's fair to assume you aren't starving or struggling to pay bills because of taxes. 

Oh and since it costs $5,000+ just to ride in an ambulance, I'm gonna say that's a fair comparison to what the fire department would charge to put out a fire, or a call for the police to come out to your house.
