ANGELS AGREE TO TERMS WITH JUSTIN BOUR

ANAHEIM, CA – The Angels today agreed to terms on a one-year contract with infielder Justin Bour. Today’s announcement was made by Angels General Manager Billy Eppler.

Bour, 30, split the 2018 season between Miami and Philadelphia and reached the 20 home run mark for the third time in his career (also, 2015 and 2017). He finished tied for the Major League lead with 11 pinch-hit RBI and batted .320 (8/25) with three home runs as a pinch hitter, which were tied for the most in the National League. He also set career highs last season in walks (73) and games played (141). Since 2016, his .412 OBP with two outs ranks fifth in the Majors, behind Mike Trout (.464), Joey Votto (.421), Paul Goldschmidt (.420) and Bryce Harper (.416). He also ranks third among N.L. first basemen with a .996 fielding percentage since 2016.

A native of Washington, D.C., Bour was originally selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 25th round of the 2009 Frist-Year Player draft out of George Mason University and was a Rule 5 Draft pick by the Marlins in 2013. In his five Major League seasons, Bour has batted .260 (407/1463) with 84 home runs and 277 RBI. He set single-season bests in 2017 with 109 hits, 25 home runs, 83 RBI and a .902 OPS and also participated in the Home Run Derby at Marlins Park. Additionally, he led all N.L. first basemen (min. 100 games) with a .999 fielding percentage (one error in 809 total chances) in 2017.

A lack of legs....   Dude's lower body is shot...

Reminds me of GA. Once his legs went. Just couldnt drive the ball anymore.

We gave him a bunch of crap on here, but he was one of (for me) thr better "hitters" I ever got to watch.

Just a dick at golf shops, i guess.
