Interesting.  Bour is solely a 1B.  From what Ausmus said today, seems like Pujols’ days are numbered as long as he isn’t performing.   Bour is a nice lefty bat.

Considering he had been DFAed, it won’t be. Dude can mash. Had hoped for someone a little more versatile but plenty of OBP, plenty of SLG.

Also, with Ohtani not expected to be ready at the start of the season, seems like Bour will have plenty of opportunity to out perform Pujols.

I suggested this a couple weeks ago in one of our threads about first base.  My thought was the Angels could have Pujols only play first base against left handed pitchers, Bour only plays first base against right handed pitchers while Ohtani DH's.

This is the best way to limit Pujols IMO.

Bour is cheaper and this move is a clear signal that Pujols is not an everyday player in 2019, hell hes probably not playing more than 50 games
