There was a lot of empty rhetoric this last campaign cycle about someone being the most qualified candidate ever.  It was actually quite comical. 

There was probably no one more qualified for the top job than GHWB.  His pre presidential resume is incredible. 

Whether or not he was successful in the role is certainly up for debate, and your politics will most certainly play into your view of it.  But the dude gave his life to this country.

Was just talking to my dad about him on Thanksgiving (and other ex presidents). He was pretty bad for domestic issues, but a standout for foreign policy. His work as thr Soviet Union crumbled to get Germany nited was pretty stellar.

Was thinking about this as I went to sleep last night. If Iraq never invades Kuwait, what would the world look like today?
