FYI-Anything Yankee or Red Sox is considered breaking news for MLB/ESPN.

I’m gonna crawl up on the soapbox for a minute. Players go to the plate these days looking like vintage Eric Dickerson. Shins and shoe guards, elbow pads, face guards, etc. Then they get on base and dive head first and slam their unprotected hands into the bases. Makes no sense. So if you’re battling for a playoff spot and have to let a Trevor Story or Marcel Ozuna go to the IL with a hand injury even after so many previous examples of this happening then what exactly is your analytics department analyzing? FFS people pull your head out of your ass and stick your thumb up there before you dive headfirst then at least you’re somewhat protected

When a player gets mad at an umpire for a ball/strike call and they look at the replay and see the umpire was actually right, do they ever apologize or say "good call, ump" later in the game?

Why do players point to their dugout when they disagree with a safe/out call right away?  Will their team not look at the replay if the player doesn't tell them to?  It's the best when the umpire actually gets the call right and there's no replay review at all.

does the ump acknowledge to a player that he made a mistake in his previous at bat?

Don’t know, I assume they don’t have the access to the replays right away like the players do

Was the Andrew Heaney for Howie Kendrick (vis a vis Gordon) a very underrated trade?

Fact - he was tied for 1st in all of baseball last season for shutouts (QTY 1 - with like 10 others)

On Monday, Sept. 2, 2019, the Los Angeles Angels were officially eliminated from the AL West division race. The "magic number" went from 1 to non-existent with Houston's extra-innings victory over Milwaukee. The Wild Card number is 11.

Kole Calhoun and Marcel Ozuna have pretty similar 2019 numbers

And Ozuna is a Boras client. I can see him being the guy who’s still sitting unsigned into spring training waiting for that big multi-year deal that never comes.

If you had room for a corner outfielder and a little cash to spend would you sign Ozuna or Puig?

Ozuna is younger and has been a bit better than Kole in his career. His highs have been better and he hasn’t had nearly the career lows that Kole has.

Eric Aybar 's nephew Wander Franco should be here soon with the Tampa Bay Rays. I also have  my fingers crossed that Mike Trout has a few son's that the Angel's Draft in the future.
