The thought of Adam Jones finishing his career in Japan makes me a little sad for some reason.

I was curious as to when Walker Buehler was drafted, so I looked.

He was taken 24th overall in 2015.  The Angels draftd 26th that year and took Taylor Ward.

Also in 2015 - Mike Soroka was taken 28ith overall by the Braves.

Lots of teams missed out on these two guys.

So... Steven Strasburg didn not go home to San Diego.

Gerrit Cole did not go home to play in LA/OC

Anthony Rendon did not go home to play in Texas.

Angels seem to have certain periods

2000? - 2006 - the "Angel baseball" NL style of play, overachieving

2008 - 2011- the golden age, until Aybar and Figgins dropped the ball in NY

2011 - 2012 - the darkest of dark ages, the trade that ruined the Angels for years

2013 till now - the huge signings / no success era.....can one man possibly save a team full of mistakes?

I’m too young to have witnessed good Kevin Appier but he had a 54.5 WAR according to baseball reference.

It's too bad Boof Bonser and Boog Powell never played on the same team.  Boof and Boog would have been such a great duo.

How about an OF of David Justice, Rudy Law and Aaron Judge?
