Christopher Torres and Robert Dugger are the other players in the deal, Jon Heyman of Fan Rag tweets.

4:28pm: All of Gordon’s contract is going to Seattle, Tim Healey of the Sun Sentinel reports.

Mariners #2, #7, and a name were dealt, with no money apparently being eaten by Miami.

I really liked Dee Gordon and thought he'd be one of the better value trade targets, but even with the extra million in Ohtani bucks, I don't think Dee would have been worth Barria, Rivas/Fletcher, and a low-level arm with no salary eaten.

Otani is gonna have to want to be Angel.  I mean that’s always been the case.  But I guess more so now.

I thought that money was never the issue for Ohtani here from what I've read. Don't the Padres have very little money to offer?

REAL curious to see if Eppler responds tonight. Heat is undoubtedly turned up a tick on two fronts, Ohtani and 2B. 

There is still money out there and we have pieces to trade for it.

We should also see if Texas responds. Could hint at them being in the mix still. They'll be looking at other teams money like Eppler.

Eppler needs to be on the phone working his connections in New York and try and see if he can get some of the $3.25 million the Yankees have in pool money.  The only other team with a significant amount of pool money is the Pirates at $2.26 million.

Appreciate Eppler trying but Dipoto will sacrifice anything possible to get Ohtani without worrying about the consequences if they  miss out. Eppler can't fall into that trap over an uncertainty

Mariners have traded 3 of their top 10 prospects in the last 2 days to get more $ for Ohtani. If I was picking a team to spend my next 6 years, I think that would be a definite concern.
