Tyler Skaggs said his plan is to be ready to return after 2 AAA starts (Saturday and next Thu). Whether #Angels agree is TBD.

Morin has had every chance these past 3 seasons, following the solid rookie year.   Give him a fresh start elsewhere.   It's not like O'Day barely getting a chance here, and then being left unprotected.

If Robinson goes down for Maybin's return before Skaggs/Heaney return, that will open up a 40-man spot. 

The Angwls haven't had a problem of a packed 40-man lately. There are always guys on there who will clear waivers.

This is all part of the normal rehab process for all Angel pitchers.  Nothing to see here.

I know you don't want to rush Heaney and Skaggs but if they can go 4-5 innings then turn it to the pen that's a plus

Skaggs makes his third start for the Bees tonight. His last start was cut short due to rain. Hopefully he does well and joins the Angels next week.

Due to length of time off, I would give Skaggs at least another start after tonight to make sure.   Remember that his previous start was limited, due to being rained out.

In fact, I'm perfectly satisfied if he AND Heaney both return to MLB in mid-August.

depends on how things go tonite, if he pitches a full 6 innings he'll won't need another rehab start.

Heaney was supposed to pitch tonite, probably tomorrow now.

Andrew Heaney, only 12 months removed from TJ, will start for AAA Salt Lake on Monday, Mike Scioscia. He's expected to throw 5-6 innings.

If Skaggs and Heaney can both return by mid August, with Shoemaker and Richards on the horizon, that would give the Angels a chance to see who's truly healthy and who's not before the off-season's "draining of the swamp."

So Skaggs and Heaney back soon. What in the world is up with Richards and Shoe? I don't hear much about them after it was announced they were expected to miss one start each (months ago).
