DNC off to a good start

Recommended Posts

31% of Democrats polled disagreed with the FBIs decision to not recommend criminal charges against H. Clinton. I would think this would be inline with the percentage of Republicans in 1974 who thought the same of Nixon. The primary difference is that the other side wasn't offering a somehow worse choice back during Watergate.

Bernie lost to Hillary because she received more votes than him, and was always going to receive more votes than him. Even without the Super Delegates he lost, by millions of votes. He lost badly in early primary voting states that didn't have a significant majority of white liberals. Iowa and New Hampshire were states that lined up very well for him. He did well in undemocratic caucus states...and received more pledged delegates than his percentage of vote total would actually dictate. He did better in states that were open, allowing non-Democrats to vote in the Democratic Primary. He did very poorly with core Democratic minority groups. Hell, most of those "emails" causing all the stirs occurred in May, after the primary results were written on the wall (for anyone who could perform some basic math, the Democratic primary was pretty much over in March after Super Tuesday). To overthrow the will of millions of Democratic voters would be rigging the system.

He did a marvelous job, he moved the Democratic party to the left...but he was never going to win, not because the system was rigged...but because the US, and the Democratic Party, is not a majority progressive/socialist party. Something like 15-20% of the US identifies as extremely liberal.

So, Bernie had a choice. go pout in the corner and be the next Jill Stein or Gary Johnson...or work within the system to continue to try and improve the Democratic Party. 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing. He also realizes just what a disaster the Trump presidency would be for the people who championed and it would be a disservice to what he stands.

I'm also guessing he'll be given more responsibility than picking up McDonald's and being the funny fat guy in the corner.

You are correct, Bernie will be given more responsibility. He'll be in charge of picking up all those "donations " from Wall Street, and being the crazy old guy in the corner.

@red321 you say the writings were written on the wall when the emails that were divulged were written. Do you honestly think that the emails began in May of 2016?  You don't think this was a topic of discussion prior to May? I would put the likelihood of this occurring prior to May at 101%.

Even if it DID originate in May, the problem is the culture of manipulation and lies that is ingrained in anything Clinton. There is no way in hell Hillary wasn't aware of what was going on.

The Clintons are scum.

*I know nothing about Chelsea, but she seems to be ok thus far.

VOTE IVANKA !!!

Absolutely. They couldn't figure out how to do something coordinated to save their lives if the situation called for it.

And, yet, Trump was the presumptive nominee before Hillary, who ran with the DNC thumb on the scale, was able to beat out 1 serious opponent.

Unity!

I screwed up, and missed the speech by the mother of Michael Brown. I don't want to miss any of the speeches by the families of the recently executed police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge. Can someone tell me when they are scheduled to speak so I can set my DVR?

Julian Assange: 'A lot more material' coming on US elections

What's the point on waiting if they really exist? If he truly believes he is doing the world a favor by releasing the information then it should just all come out at once. Whomever did the hack really needs to either release them or stop whoring for attention if they are full of shit. The fate of the world may literally depend on it.
