Johnny Cueto, SP — What to make of Cueto? On one hand, his last postseason appearance was a dominant two-hitter. But he also struggled throughout most of his half-season stint with the Royals. There are always teams willing to gamble on big names: enter the Angels.

prior to the trade, Cueto was set to be the second highest paid pitcher this offseason and he had been very very good in a bandbox.  Albeit in the NL.  If he's truly healthy, he definitely someone I would kick the tires on.

Richards needed to step up and be the leader of the staff this year.  While he was pretty solid and will likely continue to get better, he doesn't have that aura of being a go to guy who can anchor a staff.

If the team thinks they need more of an anchor for the staff, then Cueto could be a solid buy low candidate.

Same article thinks Lackey to Texas.

Probably true, their are more pastures there. If Kentucky had an MlB team, Lackey would be their franchise player, or stud.

Horse.

I heard that Lackey only wants to go to the Team Jason Hayward is on.

I'd personally rather see the Angels sign Jordan Zimmermann or Kenta Maeda. Although, with Cueto there's no loss of a draft pick.

We should run a poll about whether the Angels can navigate this post season without losing a draft pick.
