Amazing MLB stat

I'm watching the Cardinals/Rockies game and up popped a stat that said the Cardinals have not had a losing month of baseball since June 2012.  That is absolutely amazing in the sport of baseball.  What a model of consistency that franchise is.

I have a serious crush on the cards. Their front office is top notch, always seem to make good under the radar moves. I wnvy their FO more than their on field performance almost, wish we could crack the code of whatever theyve figured out

I only wish someday the Angels can produce the same way the Cards do. They're doing something right.

 

Big blow to them today with Matt Holliday getting seriously injured on a rather freak injury.

 

Loved the guys style of play, and he hits with authority.

 

Hate seeing a guy like that go out, and hope he has a speedy recovery, and can play the same style of baseball again some day.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but they seem to focus on depth and in turn most every deal they make is a winner in terms of overall value. The Hayward deal is probably a counter example, but they had so much pitching depth at the time that it's hard to find a fault there. I'm probably forgetting someone, but who was their last major deadline acquisition? Matt Halladay?

Just blows me away how often they get it right draft wise. Seems like every other year or so they produce at worst a calhoun type. And thats with major league success, sho its not like theyve had a decade long run of high draft picks from last place finishes

It helps that they've been among the bottom 5 in DL stints the last several years.

jim edmonds referred to st louis as "baseball nirvana". its appearent that traditionally the players there are having fun playing and dont look like galley slaves pulling at the oars.  more about attitude and having fun playing a kids game with the focus on team and not on  individual retirement planning.

$3 billion TV contract that allows us to compete financially with larger markets. Oh and before Arte there was talks of the Angels being contracted. obviously no team was dissolved, but if those talks started again could you even for a second think the Angels would be considered for it?

The Cardinals obviously have an amazing network of baseball people, from the scouts, minor league coaches, to the front office.  They have changed coaches along the way and not skipped a beat.  It starts in rookie ball and makes its way all the way up.

Didn't the Angels steal the Cardinal's FO operation manual, or some document outlining the organizational strategy of coaching and drafting through all levels?? When we see the fruit of this labor?

Another stat I heard while watching Cards/Rockies today.  The Cardinals have not been swept in a 3 or 4 game series since July 2013.  Wow.
