When it comes to club valuation, mega tv deals... I see that as the rising tide lifting all boats in the MLB landscape.  You guys attribute it to Arte's brilliance.

The Mets built their financial plan around Bernie Madoff, and they are still valued higher than the Angels.

 

I don't for one second think that the Wilpons are a better owner than Arte.

That's why I said the rankings don't make sense. One of the first things I look at in valuations is debt...it's as important as ticket sales and profitability.

Whether the Angels were ranked first or 30th, I don't put much 'value' in these Forbes rankings.

 

The Angels are owned by Angels Baseball, LLC (owned by Arte).  I really doubt Forbes sees the financials of Angels Baseball, LLC.

I'll admit my perspective is flawed because I live 3000 miles away from California but the name change is the best thing that could have happened to this org. I suppose if I lived locally my opinion might be different but to me "Angels" is the only important thing in the name.

Arte is the Mike Trout of business. He knows what he is doing, at least financially.
