Despite my distaste for the way he left Gainesville, I have to give it to Meyer. There probably isn't a better big game coach in all of college football.

I am thinking no matter how they choose it, someone is going to say the 4th pick was wrong but is there agreement that at least the #1 and #2 team are in the mix? You would hope this playoff at least allows the top two teams in instead of politics and a screwed up computer ranking possibly leaving one of them out.

 

Would it have killed the NCAA to have made it 8 teams? That way nearly every conference should have some representation and it would take all of three weeks to complete the cycle of games. Even with how corrupt the NCAA selection process can be they certainly couldn't miss getting the #1 and 2 team into an 8 team playoff while still pandering to their favorites.
