Rumor only: Indians acquire Trumbo for Kluber?

Even though this turned out to be total BS, I'll still go on the record as being a proud member of the Corey Kluber Society. He is actually a pretty good pitcher and with 5 years of control it would likely be a fair swap. If we were getting extra value (hopefully) then that would have been icing on the cake.

Lol, and people thought we could get something decent for Trumbo. If we do trade him, it will be for a Kluber-type player.

One would have to think so. Whilst it wouldn't totally stun me to see someone give up far too much in a deluded evaluation of Trumbo, we'd be wrong to hold our breath for it. Teams aren't lining up to give up quality, club-controlled pitching for a poor defending first baseman with a sub.300 OBP and a sub .750 OPS.

He's our Pau Gasol, except the Lakers actually kind of traded him once.

Let's hope somebody doesn't play the jar fashion role and convince Trumbo gf or future fiancé to leave him in the middle of the season. Let's also hope somebody doesn't reprise Lamar Odom and ends up with a cocaine addiction, allegedly.

he's actually a pretty good defensive 1b, statistically supported.

Kluber's stats in 2013 were those of a solid #4, 3.85 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 4/1 Ks/BBs, only 15 HRs allowed, albeit in just 24 starts.

I don't remember his delivery though, is it that high maintenance? Plus he sucked in part-time starting in 2012, 5.13 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.

Was 2013 an aberration, or a breakthrough?

Can he increase his innings pitched to 200 in 2014, having only gotten to as high as around 150 innings in pro ball?

There had better be a GOOD pitching prospect coming with him, even if not Salazar.

Bauer is almost finished as a future solid pitcher.
