I wouldn't trust the source, but if the prospects are good than it makes some sense. Kluber's actually pretty decent - looks more like another Vargas type than a #5. Very good peripherals, decent ERA. Much cheaper than Vargas, too.

The prospects are not premier prospects we were told. Major league portion of deal is agreed upon, prospects the hold up. #Indians #trumbo

 

Yeah uh no. People there are saying Kluber + Carlos Carrasco. That would be the dumbest trade of all time.

Bauer is still considered one of the top 50 prospects in baseball. His stock has dropped a bit but he still has a ton of upside.

It's just a rumor. Depends on the other prospect too, but yeah he had a rough year: K/9 way down and BB/9 way up.
