A's will remove tarps and add seats for playoffs

I went to 2 games in Oakland a few years ago...I had an awesome time and I bet it would be a great place to see a playoff game. Too bad that it wouldn't involve the Angels, but I bet it would be entertaining as hell.

It was a blast and their fans are very passionate about their club. The fans in the RF bleacher section 149 are some of the best fans in MLB. This group spent some time with us under the Big A a couple of seasons ago.

Their home stadium still sucks  Nothing like first row seats that are 100 feet away from fair territory and the view of tarped off seats.  It certainly doesn't help their attendance.

Being at an A's game feels completely different from being at a Raiders game. It doesn't give off that Oakland vibe. That's another reason why it makes sense to move them to San Jose. The city just fits the team better.

I think I went to that series cause I believe the magic number was around 2-4 at that point.

 

The stadium is bad (because of Al Davis) and the neighborhood around it is garbage. We all know that!

That's what I did for the 2011 Halos/A's DH.   Stayed in SF and took BART to the stadium.

I went there when I lived up there and the Angels were in town. The place is a shit hole. The real fans are about 70 years old, and the rest are just drunks. A guy was kicked out for harassing me once.

Ok, so I went there last night..took about 10 minutes to get in..the Twins could have been charged with 6-7 errors in that game..Cespedes homers, Donaldson homers, Colon is throwing about 94% strikes. Two guys within 10 feet of me caught foul balls (and with one hand/no glove too,). Maybe they should have played first and right field for the Twins.

 

Star Wars fireworks night so that was pretty cool..Got some videos (I wanted to break them up to limit the upload time(s)).

 

It takes about 30 minutes to get the hell out of there mainly because the Coliseum configuration is terrible.

 

So, it's rained about a 1/5 of an inch up here and that's basically nothing..except for this place. I'm sure everyone here can think of what happened next.

 

How the hell did they even film a movie in this place and I'm not talking about Moneyball.

 

Anyways, same thing as before..fans (at least the die hards) are all cool. The stadium is a joke and the location is even worse.
