Another game, another chance to rest starters early wasted.  Up 20-25 pts in the 3rd against the Pelicans and we couldn't close them out with our second team.  Once again, Lebron and AD had to come back in.  I think Darren Collison would be a huge boost.  He can run alongside Lebron and provide shooting that Rondo can't consistently, can run the team and get his own shot, and isn't a loss defensively.  When can we get this dude to sign on the line which is dotted?

Block party last night, 20 of them (second most in franchise history), 19 of them between AD, McGee, and Howard

They've already won more games than they won in any season from 2013-14 through 2016-17.

29-7 now, undefeated so far against teams not at least 8 games over .500, taking care of business when they should and rarely ever dominated in a game even by the best teams so far

AD has stupid athleticism for a guy nearly 7 feet tall.   Some of those alley oop dunks are gravity defying.

The Los Angeles Lakers are keeping Dwight Howard around.

Los Angeles plans to guarantee Howard's $2.56-million contract for the rest of the season, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.

The Lakers have until 5 p.m. ET Tuesday to waive Howard, but they don't intend to do so, according to McMenamin.

After agreeing to a buyout with the Memphis Grizzlies over the summer, Howard quickly opted for a non-guaranteed deal with Los Angeles, which was in need of a backup center after DeMarcus Cousins tore his ACL.

Howard's non-guaranteed pact would have allowed the Lakers to part with him with ease, but the 34-year-old veteran has capitalized on his opportunity. Howard is averaging 7.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks while playing exclusively in a bench role this season with L.A., which currently sits atop the Western Conference standings.

He's definitely earned that.    This is a different Howard from the first go around, very energized.   Winning does help with that, no doubt.

This is the type of team we have.  We traded away depth and it got us a super star.  With that comes the rational thought that the super stars will carry a bigger piece of the burden.  It sucks, but it is what it is.

They need to figure out a way to keep the offense moving without Lebron on the floor.

On the bright side to the road trip, they nearly beat a solid Pacers team on the road, without AD.

Knicks are a bunch of hack artists.   TWO flagrant fouls, including a flagrant 2?

Speaking of the Knicks, who's the worst owner in team sports?    The Marlins' Jeffrey Loria, or the Knicks' James Dolan?     Neither has sniffed any success in at least a decade, and can't even sniff being a .500 team.

Rob Lowe Pelinka is a scuzbum.   NEVER, EEEEVER hire an agent to be a GM?

The Busses do not know how to run a franchise, and their dad has to be rolling over in his grave.

Rob Lowe Pelinka hiring was a total joke.  He was an agent!   Other than negotiations, what does he know about how to work in an NBA FO?

The ENTIRE FO needs to go, and the Busses need to stay TOTALLY out of signing or trading for players, outside of approving those transactions.

Anyone care to guess who the new VP of Basketball Operations is?
