Pujols Officially Ruled Out for Season

Recommended Posts

I don't think it will be viewed as negatively as A-Rod's contract.

A Rod at least played great or good. Hell he's playing pretty good right now. Plus Arod has a WS under his belt with that contract. Pujols is in year two and already is a part time player can you imagine year 5 or heck even year 8?

Depends on how he plays next year after this injury. If he sucks next year, then I will completely agree with you.

No way he leaves any money on the table. He will be our 3 or 4 hitter until his contract is up. Will go down as worst contract in baseball history

Pujols will Appiered before his contract is up. Like Gary Matthews, Jr. we will be paying him far beyond when his MLB service climb accrual ends.

Highly doubt it.  He has a personal services contract for 10 years after the expiration of the playing contract.  I doubt they'll just dump him, and then be like, "Sure, come back and collect a check for 10 more years after you're done playing."

Dumb contract

Didn't Moreno know that it was already the post-PEDs era, and that age 32 is thus the new 34/35?

For a baseball guy, he sure doesn't seem very knowledgeable, and yes almost starry eyed.

That Is under the assumption he was actually 32 when they signed him.

Interesting that Keith Law resurrected this one last night on BBTN.
