Rendon injured again, possibly out for season

I wonder how much (if any) off season training and conditioning he did? Assuming he wasn't seriously prevented medically  for the last few months at least.

You would think that coming off so much inactivity and with a terrible reputation that he would want to change the narrative. At least hustle and try and get better media reaction.

Instead he made things worse with his lack of tact and tone deafness. And now again the small injuries appear, likely extending into a whole season of such incidents.

If he really has the integrity and self respect he claims to then he would retire. If his body actually is frail and slow healing, then he will never contribute adequately in the field. And hasn't he already made a fortune? No doubt the Angels would kick in some more in a settlement just to be rid of him.

If they release him after 2024, he would only be owed basically what Hamilton was owed when they let him go.

To me anyway, 2024 is possibly his last chance to play at least 110 games (2/3 of the season).

In before Stradling tries to make a joke about Rendon having the last laugh, etc.

No I think you guys whining about someone you think is soft is hilarious in it’s hypocrisy.

We have years of evidence that this guy is soft.

I really don't understand the gimmick anymore dude. He fucking sucks. He said he doesn't like baseball. What more do you want?

Buttrey basically said baseball wasn't a priority in his life anymore.  Not so different.

He said he was burned out, and that he was having some mental health issues regarding his identity and how baseball intersected that.  Then he quit and went to do charity work in another country. That's a big difference. He then decided to try to come back.

(Cue 47 posts from the yahoos who will claim he just missed the paychecks.)

Buttery left the game which meant he wasn't collecting a paycheck from the Angels to not play.

Lou and cals were the only ones to really get on his case for it. Probably some of the other usual suspects, too.

Like tdawg said, not really the same thing.

He doesn't like baseball but he loves pulling in that $37 mill every year.
