So I wonder how places like Vegas or Atlantic City handle the people who win big? Wiring the money like Brandon mentioned would seem to make the most sense.

Same thing as I mentioned here in LA card rooms. A lot of whales or high rollers don’t even walk around with money and just use the casinos and then they settle up at the end. Then it’s just bank account tag to the casino or from the casino.

A lot also just keep money there like a bank. I know a card player that keeps 100k there at Commerce or Hustler in his box or on the books there.

Free safety deposit box for them.  Plus I wonder how easy it is seizable like a bank accounts would be.

Wasn't this what got the Normandie Casino in trouble?

Had to look it up as I never heard about it (or even that casino), but it's something I've always wondered about. I assumed the money just stayed there at all times, but they still issued a 1099 for all winnings above the limit here in CA. But looking it up, it looks like the casino was purposely cash sheltering for a high roller......not showing the huge casino win on their side for the high roller.

I think Hawaiian Gardens got into similar trouble.

There's was a little bit different. Ironically, I should know all of this because I have to study and take yearly federal and state on the subject and know the government entities, acronyms, money laundering terms, etc. but for HG it was purely negligence and laziness opposed to purposefully hiding money....there may have been one person that worked there that was caught doing some shady shit. But they were mainly busted for not tracking and following government compliance and keeping records properly. For instance, if you had the 100k box there they wouldn't mark it down every time you used those funds to gamble with. Just extremely poor record keeping and this was after laws were enacted by the government to follow certain protocols.

Like a lot of government issues or overstepping boundaries, a lot of these government entities were created as part of the Dodd-Frank Act or within conjunction of the financial crisis in 2008. I think HG was popped right after it was all starting to be enforced.

Which makes sense. Just look around that place and it's like no one cares about anything at that place.

Took another one with these fuckers last night. This is kind of the norm... they show up, rape and pillage for a week or two, then dissappear.

We got a call of people throwing rocks at a house. Not top of the priority list, but the house backed up to a green belt, so we went sooner than normal. (I say that because there were other calls in front of that one that had more priority).

My partner and I were literally on the front yard, side of this home talking to the home owner when we got an alarm call at the house next door. (Both houses are huge, backed up to a green belt in a gated community in the hills).

My partner and I ask for help, and a helicopter. Literally get on both sides of the house in under a minute. (Keep in mind there's a delay of maybe 3 or 4 minutes between an alarm going off and us getting a call).

Long story short, they broke in and out, ransacked a bedroom for jewelry, literally as my partner and I were parked in front of the house.

No video at all of anyone leaving the only gate into the community. Meaning they got out on foot, through the greenbelt. Probably parked outside in another neighborhood.

I imagine I'll see a few more of these this week before they disappear without a trace again.

I don't know what to say. They have the cajones to rob a place with the police literally in the front yard.

And even if we were to catch them, they'd be cited out or at worst OR'd after their first court appearance. Back on a plane to Chile, tapping hands with the next guy to take his spot.
