Greinke seems like he could easily just completely fall off a cliff at any point.  His K rate is downright laughable these days.  Had the highest exit velocity in his career this year, the highest hard-hit %, and the highest line drive % (in a full season).

So why aren’t we signing him?

Anyone see any of the Braves may trade Acuna rumors?

I have zero idea if the guys I read on twitter are full of shit or not, but you’d have to think with Minasian ties to the Braves that we would have at least a decent chance of making something like that happen.

No chance ATL trades a player like Ronald Acuna with that contract.

Since Dansby Swanson has entered the free agent market, I can't imagine that they would trade Acuna. If they do, you can bet that the price will be very steep.

I've seen people discussing this but I have no idea why they would even think about trading him.

Does anyone know if this might be true? I saw another post that said Angels have made a multi-year offer to him. The Angels were interested in him when he was with Cleveland, but it's been awhile.

MLBNerds has broken some moves in the past, so I think the reported interest is likely true.

I’m not sure I believe the tweets about the Angels making him an offer, as they all came after MLBNerds’ tweet and they may just be regurgitating info + making stuff up to make it seem like they’re insiders.

Who would the Rays honestly trade?  Maybe Margot or Arozerena?  Yarbrough?  Lowe?

The Rays have a bunch of guys that are arb eligible. If they keep all these guys it will probably double their payroll. Doubt they let that happen. Possibly some good opportunities there.

Guy who started it was a 2.5K followed account named “Ballcap Sports”, so I don’t put any stock into it

They have like 8+ guys who they probably need to add to protect them from the Rule 5 draft.

They’ll probably trade from their pitching depth, specifically pitchers who are starting to enter arbitration and make more money.

Guys like Chirinos, Yarbrough, Beeks Armstrong, Thompson, and Chargois.

If these rumors are even remotely true, I really hope the Angels aren't interested in Yarbrough.  What am I missing that makes some folks on here intrigued by him?

I don't get it either, but that'd be a typical Angels thing to do. Make a significant trade for a guy that will sit with a 4.00+ ERA
