There are call center Indians, and then there are Scientist/Engineer Indians, and I work with a lot of the latter. I can understand them just fine.

Our client uses offshore Indians for QA (pretty idiotic), and every time they’re in a meeting there’s always yelling, dogs barking, loud tv, honking, and random gunshot noises in the background. They’re also the only people who never turn their cameras on. Sucks to work with them.

Two weekends ago there was a Hindu wedding at Los Coyotes Golf Course. No elephant but they had a white horse with gold hoof polish.
