I wish we were legit spoiling the Mariners' chances, but they have a comfortable 5 game lead over the 4th place wild card team.

In some sense we’re helping them to remain in the third wildcard spot, which plays the third division winner (currently Cleveland), as opposed to the second wildcard spot, which plays the first wildcard spot (currently Toronto).

Interesting. By giving the division winner the advantage they are generally giving the third wild card a significant advantage over the first and second.

When I was a kid in school, the made me play football in P.E..

Because I was a chubby kid, they made me block, never getting to touch the ball.

I got the shit knocked out of me & it made me see stars. 

So I never took a liking to it.

Baseball was so much more fun!

l felt similarly about basketball running back and forth wasn't my idea of a swell time.
