He's the best baseball player in recent history and he knows he's stuck with an organization that doesn't know it's ass from a hole in the ground and he will probably never see the playoffs or win a ring until he leaves.

Why would Ohtani want to continue his career here? If being in a winning organization is important. Money will be so insane anywhere he goes. And California taxes ...

He's really the only player who can be traded and drastically change the status quo of the organization. Which should suck it up, absorb the ridicule and build from the ground up. Presuming they get a basket full of goodies in a trade to accelerate the rebuild. 

Of course, trusting Perry for a rebuild is problematic itself 

I've come to the conclusion Arte isn't fixated on winning. He enjoys watching big name sluggers rather than team results.
