He's really the only player who can be traded and drastically change the status quo of the organization. Which should suck it up, absorb the ridicule and build from the ground up. Presuming they get a basket full of goodies in a trade to accelerate the rebuild. 

Of course, trusting Perry for a rebuild is problematic itself 

I've come to the conclusion Arte isn't fixated on winning. He enjoys watching big name sluggers rather than team results. 

 

Agreed, but as mentioned before, ask the Marlins what happened when they traded Cabrera.

They HAVE to convince Ohtani to sign a new deal.

They will have the space under the threshold after removing Upton, Lorenzen, and Bradley from the payroll.

You would have to slow the team down by about 67,000 mph to have it go into the sun. Otherwise it would just orbit as space junk. Probably still an improvement over its current condition.
