Gameday Thread (6/16/22): Angels @ Mariners - still no Rendon

Just IL Rendon until the pain is very minimal.   This carrying someone who can’t play has happened far too often this season.   Essentially removes one person from the roster limit.

Ward sat a lot of days before IL’ing.

Same with Rendon, and now Rendon again

So what is the unofficial policy about the "still no" add-ons? Is it until the player goes on the IL, we can continue with the passive aggression?

IL Rendon, bring up Stefanic, if he plays well then eject one of Wade, Duffy, Mayfield or Velazquez.

Salvage at least one of the five games in Seattle. Two would be better. And so on and so forth.

They have a good stretch coming up. They failed the 19 game one miserably. Beyond miserably. But 5 Seattle, 3 KC, 3 Seattle, 3 White Sox, 3 Houston, 2 Miami and 4 Baltimore is the season. As much as they said blah blah 100 games left, if they don’t come out of this stretch above .500 and within a game or two, they are in a really bad place and that could be it. That’ll be the halfway mark or so and that’ll tell us how good they really are.

Should have been, went 1-17 coming off it, and then went to the bench with the wrist still affecting him.

This line up should not be preforming as badly as it has this week.  Even without Rendon it’s a pretty good line up.  Top heavy granted.  Get it the fuck together fellas.

I don’t know why you think it’s passive aggressive, the team hasn’t said anything about Rendon going on the IL, so I’m assuming the biggest question for most people about todays game would be whether he was healthy enough to play today or not

I have absolutely no rational reason for saying this, but I'm feeling good about this series. Of course, winning even 2 out of 5 would be a major step forward when you're sitting on a 2-18 stretch.

Might as well, it's not like there is much difference between him, Duffy and Wade. Velazquez can at least field.
