I was critical of him being 3B coach for leading league in runners thrown out at home, but to be fair managing is a different skill set.

Scioscia won the franchise a WS and 5 other division championships.  He earned the extra years!

In addition Scioscia had a ten year contract.  Maddon was in his last year.
