Every year, the apologists blame injuries. Albert was hurt. Trout was hurt. The starting pitchers were hurt. etc...

Well, the projected starting pitching staff has pretty much made all their starts, and the two guys that are supposedly the two greatest baseball players on Earth have missed a handful of games for rest, not injury. Rendon got hurt, but he wasn't hitting, and pretty much everyone on here went on and on about how much he sucked each game. Ward was hurt, but he sucked before this season so anything out of him is a bonus.

They just suck. Normally when a team (any team in any sport) supposedly has a bunch of great players, and don't play well, the manager/head coach/coach takes the fall. Joe Girardi has just as many rings as a manager as Maddon has. Plus, he's got 4 as a catcher. The Phillies players looked really shaken up by his firing tonight.
