A guy with control as good as Blanton (at least in BB/9 regard) should have the capability to consistently put together good sequences you would think. The last AB by Kendrys was a good example of what I mean. I don't think this is a pitching coach issue, as Blanton has pretty much been the same guy for years. He appears (at least what we get from soundbites) to be a particularly stubborn dude, and I wonder if he just eschews any advice he gets from coaches or peers. He has good enough stuff and control to be able to dictate AB's, especially if the HP ump is giving him the black. It's really frustrating to watch.
