I wonder what this is going to mean for hockey.  Sounds like Canada is going to close the borders again.

The more and more these COVID cancellations are happening, the more I think the Olympic participation is going to be scrapped and that 2 weeks used for makeup games.

Rumors are that the NHL and NHLPA have agreed not to send players to the Olympics.  Probably for the best, and now opens up 2 weeks to play makeup games, instead of craming games into the regular season.

NHL shutting down Dec 22-25.  Probably for the best, but I don't think it's going to make one bit of difference.  Also, probably puts a fork in the Olympic participation.

And this should be the red flag that gets the league to make the refs call a tighter game in the playoffs. Winnipeg was maybe a toss up but no way they should have beaten Toronto and Vegas in 7 game series'
