I forgot to post this earlier. A woman caller on the Roger Lodge show stated that she likes that the front office released Pujols because it shows everyone else that regardless of your name and legacy, you can be released so she hoped it fired up the rest of the players and makes them try harder. I didn't just hear morons stating how Pujols shouldn't have gotten released. Granted, I only listened for like 5 mins but there you go.
