What difference would it make? Madden is 84 and cares more about football. Joe Maddon seems to be very comfortable with Albert. He has more confidence in Albert than you have.

I mean, Walsh wasn't great in Spring and Pujols was solid. Pujols hit good enough to stay in an extra day. Simple as that.

I think they're counting on Albert being fresh and hyped with his final season underway. If he can sustain any kind of positive play it will be a bonus. At least hope he does little harm.

Pujols' average plate appearances per RBI was an elite 8th in the American League at 5.86 - Trout had 5.77 - Ohtani 6.85.

He's not as good as he used to be, but he is still an Rbi machine.
