There’s no asterisk, if anything it was more challenging.  I’ll gladly put an asterisk on the 2017 World Series since the winning team literally knew what pitch was coming.  This year no way.  Some really smart people on here are on the same side of this discussion with a REALLY dumb person.

Anyone calling for an asterisk on this title is an imbecile. Every single team had the same chance to win the title at the beginning of the year. The Dogs persevered and came through when it mattered. The asterisk is something insecure fans tell themselves to self soothe. They were bound to win one with their talent; it happened accept it and move on. The only sports title in the last 10 years that deserves an asterisk is Houston in 2017.

So why should the 2017 Astros have an asterisk next to their title? They're not the only World Series team that has had cheaters before on their team. 2018 Red Sox: Cora and Steven Wright 2002 Angels: Glaus and Donnelly 2009 Yankees: Cano, A-Rod, Melky, and Pettitte. Should we place an asterisk next to those World Series teams with cheaters, too? The list just goes on and on. Using PED in MLB is cheating. Cheating is cheating, doesn't matter how bad it is.

It's a moot-point now since they won game 6, but it would be really interesting what today would be for game 7 had the Rays came back to win that game.  How many LADs have either been infected by Turner (before/during game 6) and/or need to sit out quarantining under the MLB CV rules. That would have been funny to see how MLB and Manfred would handle that debacle.

Because one had cheaters and the other had a systematic cheating platform designed and carried out by most members of the team.  There is a huge difference between creating a way to cheat that includes cameras, monitors and trash cans and have some guys on every team that did steroids.

I like that yk calls out Angel fans for being dumb just a few days after sharing his narrative that the only people that think Trout is the best player in baseball are people on AngelsWin.  So yes, I guess all Angel fans are dumb, assuming yk is an Angel fan.
