Nope, this is the guy you all wanted. The guy you all said he was the mastermind of the 2002 season. You have to acknowledge he did commandeer the Angels to the best second half record, even though it will amount to nothing more than a mid level or worse draft pick. You've got two more years of this and you might as well suck it up and accept it.

Front office has been the biggest problem.

When's the last time the Angels signed and developed a good Latin (or is it LatinX) player?  Maybe Hector Yan is that dude. Maybe Barria can stick.  But, mang, it's been a while.

The drafts have not been good lately, either. 

Sure, some of the FA signings and extensions have hurt, but they only kill you if you also don't develop players. 

Some terrible starts... and terrible years....   really put them in a hole.  Anyone think Ohtani, Buttrey, Teheran, and Robles would be that horrible?    Crazy happens over short spans.   If this is a 162 game season, they cruise past .500.   Even if Walsh hadn't broken through.     Even if three of those guys continued to suck.

Ok, I don’t understand this part.  In his five drafts this is what we have seen.  Adell, top 10 prospect, Marsh, top 50 prospect, Canning, top 50 prospect, Detmers, top 100 prospect, Adams and Jackson have both showed up on prospect lists.  So far the only two prospects drafted in the first two rounds that haven’t lived up to some people’s expectations are Will Wilson and Thaiss, who still has made it to the majors.

Something like that.  The first sentence anyway.   Thaiss has barely had a shot and he looked ok towards the end of last year.
