Hitters 3-6 tonight for the Angels:

0-13 with 5 K’s.  Those 5 K’s were 3 for Upton and 2 for Ward.  The heart of this line up has under performed almost the entire season so far.

Yes our bullpen blows donkey balls, but the complete lack of production from the heart of this line up almost all season so far cannot be under stated.  It’s downright awful.

I agree Stradling, but not the entire reason.  A questionable coaching decision, a bad pitch and that led to a 3 run switch.
 

The defense surely was responsible for the other 2 runs, no question.

But we can’t overlook the complete lack of production from the heart of this line up.  It’s been a problem for most of this young season so far.

They might be worse than we’d hoped <shrugs> still time I guess.

20% of the season played. .333 winning percentage. 

Right now it seems hard to see this team putting together even a five game winning streak.  It seems the team can't find ways to score other than via homeruns. 

Rendon has not made the expected difference in the order. Fletcher and Trout have not had a lot of help after them. The defense screws up in some way just about every single game. Baserunning has cost games.

Rare to see a complete well pitched game from any combination of starter and bullpen. Premature removal of starters has been a consistent pattern. This year's relievers are completely unreliable. Bullpen by committee has been a disaster. 

48 games remaining. A lot of trends need to be reversed.

Yeah, Rendon needs to get his shit together. I've given him a pass because he got hurt and missed some time but he needs to start contributing quick!

La Stella, Pujols, Upton haven't been much help at all.

Why? He’s played 3 games at the major league level. I get lowering expectations to avoid disappointment though. I do that for Angels baseball every year
