Some have improved lately, but still a decent drop from their 2017-2019 stats.  Altuve somehow is actually getting worse (-0.4 WAR and 63 OPS+)

I obviously don’t think they got all of their results from cheating, but lets play the what if game.  What if they did go from good to GREAT players because they cheated?  Now the Astros are on the hook to pay Altuve and Bregman like they are GREAT players when they are just good players.  That certainly wouldn’t suck.

I just hate how they got no punishment, then Covid spared them the wrath of the fans, and now they’re being rewarded with MLB one sided protection.  It’s an absolute farce.

So Bauer was threatened with a suspension if he wore these, a punishment none of the Astros received for cheating their way to a WS title.
