That’s like half Trout’s contract. Which is nuts. Sweetheart deal for Milwaukee from Yelich, who has an argument for second best player in baseball (not saying he is, just that he’s in the conversation).

Apparently he really wants to play in The Good Land.

Betts is gonna get about 400m. He isn’t nearly twice as much better as Yelich.

We'll see.  He's got a full season ahead of him.  His 2019 wasn't nearly as good as his 2018. If that trend continues - he may regret not taking the offer the Sox made to him.

He wanted to stay in Milwaukee.  They can’t offer much more than this (certainly not if they want to fill the roster out to remain contenders throughout his tenure.

Why do people continually insist on comparing contracts of free agents with those of extensions signed by players under contract? It's like comparing the contract of a player at the end of arbitration to that of the first year of a rookie contract.
