KC she's full of shit because there is no more Delta.  She's just pulling the "look at me!" bullshit she always does.

She may be wrong on the variant but Biden, Half Pint, and the feds need to stop the political bs over treatments. At the end of the day they’ve been wrong as much as the guy who refused to wear panties on his head or get vaccinated. The latter group may be naive or uneducated but the first group was intentionally deceitful and corrupt

The exposure risk finally caught up with me. I tested positive for COVID Wednesday last week. I had no symptoms other than a runny nose, which has still been the only symptom (no fever, no respiratory issues, etc.) I only tested because I have ready access to Binax tests at work. I return tomorrow morning to be retested on the eighth day. If negative, I finish the day. If still positive, I'm off until next Tuesday.

I had received two doses plus a booster of the Moderna vaccine, which may have saved me from something more serious. I have my share of risk factors.

Within 24 hours my sister, an APRN in Florida who has been working extensively with COVID patients, also tested positive. They vaccinated with Pfizer. She had a fever that lasted for about 24 hours, plus the same nasal congestion. Our APRN at work tested positive the day before I did, same symptoms that I had. He was also vaccinated.

Apparently so.

My sister was especially concerned because her husband is a liver transplant patient and he takes immunosuppressants.

I cultured for PCR the day that I left work, but I haven't seen the results yet.

Regarding testing: let me add a couple thoughts on my experience.  As you likely know, like a warrior I fought off the original COVID with Miller Lite, famotodine and porn.  I’ve taken tons of tests and tested negative and then positive within a day or so.

At the end of my brave battle I needed to get a negative test to get out of my masturbatory saloon (garage) and back into the house.  I got two negative rapids on days 11 and 12.  A few weeks later I took a PCR and this Asian bitch stuck that thing literally into my brain.  The tests before had been uncomfortable but not like that.  That brain PCR tested positive.  (It was a false positive picking up dead DNA from the virus.).

When I was in England in November they swab the tonsils and nose for PCRs.

And all the home tests I’ve taken only ask you to insert it about as far as you’d pick a booger out of.

Point being it seems like the deeper in the nasal sinus you probe and also if you involve the tonsil area you’re more likely going to get a more accurate result.

But they don’t want people sticking it up that far up the nose at home (probably thank lawyers for that) and also some of the lazy chola and Flip bitches dong the tests at clinics don’t give a shit about whether your test is done right or not.

So point being of my point being is the quality of the administration of the test likely matters a lot more than other factors.

August 2020 I swabbed myself at the CVS drive-thru and got back an inconclusive negative. Wasn't any instructions what that meant. My GP at the time started to test people by appointment before they figured that was a bad idea and quit but got in and tested positive. By the time they got my results back after a week any symptoms were already gone. I had different symptoms.  Fever, my eyes felt like Marty Feldmans popping out and I could shit further than I could hit a golf ball (yes Blarg even a 20 yard shit is a long way). 3 days and done, as Larry says, like the flu.  I think if I were to test myself again I would just botch it again.

You are absolutely right about that. The training that we got for Binax says that you insert the swab to roughly the bridge of the nose and swab at least five cycles in each nare.

The first COVID tests required all the way to the back of the throat, but we stopped using the spinal ticklers a long time ago.

I tested positive again this morning, so I am back home until Tuesday.

Is it possible to have painful or difficult shits without squinting?

I don't remember if they were painful, sort of like my water would just break. ok, i'm done.

Point was like cals was saying, I tested myself it was a fail, my doc tested me and took a week to say I was positive and by then they zoom called me in and I wasn't sick anymore. So I guess I had the original Rona but who the fuck knows.

Every Saturday morning I take a PCR so I can cross the bridge to work. The same nurse pretty much every week. She doesn't stick the swab very deep in the nostril  and I'm pretty sure it's intentional so they get negative results and repeat customers every weekend with those of us who have to enter Saudi for work. I don't think I've had it but I have no confidence that the tests prove that.

Oh, and tomorrow morning I get my 3rd dose. I expect to be slightly hung over then come home and sleep all day

You assume it's a woman? Sexist pig.

Yeah, it's a woman. She's an Ok looking Indian lady who's masked up. I spend 30 seconds in the office so I don't really care

I hate when you see a masked woman with beautiful eyes, then she takes the mask off and then its "damnit"!
