Does Baseball Favor RH’ers?

So, my friends and I were talking about left handed position players, specifically third basemen, shortstops, second basemen, and catchers.

The last left handed throwing catcher to play in the Major Leagues was Benny DiStefano. He caught three games for the Pirates in ‘89. Third and second basemen and shortstops go back even further.

My question for everyone is, “What would baseball be like if it was played backwards?”

Imagine, third base is first base and a shot hit to the first baseman gets thrown to the third baseman. Runners run to third first instead of first (clockwise).

Would Major League Baseball benefit from a developmental league that is played backwards for left handers? And, are right handed position players favored in the game of baseball?

Also, the Angels need two starting pitchers.

Considering only about 10% of the populating is left handed, it would be even harder to find 2B, SS, and 3B who could play good defense and hit well.

I’m sure some of these scrub LH pitchers people are suggesting we trade Marsh for would be better in the infield. Or maybe we can add more 4.80 ERA guys to our rotation.

Exactly. If baseball were played the other direction then the quality would go down significantly. You would basically having 10% of the population having to cover half the positions. You'd also see more LHP and their quality would go down as well.
