We already have 4 and 5 starters...a collection of parts and pieces.  We don't really need to use resources on the Roark's and Lindblom's of baseball.

Agreed. We really need an ace or #2 starter. A couple of them actually. Like Corbin, or Wheeler, or Strasburg, or Cole.... You know. All the guys we lose out on.

we're running out of options to at least soak up some innings.  so at some point, we're going to have to unless you think what we have can get it done.

Roark was not good...Lindblom is entering his mid-30s and dominated the equivalent of AA.

Sorry, this isn't a tragedy

Not even remotely.  but at what point are we gonna have to start grabbing a couple guys that help above what we have now?

There's Ryu, Keuchel, Bumgarner, Porcello, Martiz Perez, Alex Wood, Homer Bailey, Wade Miley, Brett Anderson, Gio Gonzalez, Rich Hill, Ivan Nova, Chacin, Moore.

Which of those guys are better than a 3/4 at best?  Ryu maybe?

Ryu is in the 2/3 range but, yeah lots of 3's and 4's in there but Roark is a 5 and who knows what Lindblom is.

Angels cleared salary to help make moves but it would essentially be roster redundancy to sign these guys.  At least take one step up from where you're at now...not even a leap, just one step up.

Yep, agreed.

Also: I want NO part of Homer Bailey, regardless of his "resurgence" last year.  Dude was 9-27 with a 6.25 from 2015-18.  I don't care if you're recovering from injuries or not, my god, that's awful.  He's been above 2.0 bWAR exactly once in his career.
