Couldn't they have hand counted the ballots and reported by now? That's how the whole country did it for many years.

The Buttigieg campaign has used the same company that developed the app in Iowa

Pete Buttigieg's campaign said they have used Shadow Inc. — the same app company that developed the app in Iowa that caused the reporting area. 

A Buttigieg campaign aide said they "have contracted with this vendor in the past for text messaging services to help us contact voters. Totally unrelated to any apps they built for the party.” 

It appears that Joe Biden and Kirsten Gillibrand's campaign have also used the company, as well as other state Democratic parties.

Just speculating.  But if you use a computer to say select Bernie.  And the screen says Bernie is who you selected.  But instead it records Buttigieg, and prints out Buttigieg.  Well, hand counting wouldn't mean shit.

Really, Iowa should just invalidate the election out on the irregularities and do a new paper election.  Because no matter what the results are, you know it's going to court.

BTW part of the problem last night was that every precinct had a pin to login into the app and post their results. The pin was on the paper ballots that they hand wrote the results on. Precinct captains were posting pics on social media of the paper ballots, pin and all.
