If the Rec Sox win this game and the series Eovaldi should be MVP of the WS.  And it would be wholly legit.  Unlike Bellingers joke of an MVP in the NLCS.

Fun stat: last night's game lasted longer than the entire 1939 World Series. 

7 hours, 20 minutes. The four games of the '39 series totaled 7 hours, 5 minutes.

Really? People actually hung in there for that many innings of awful baseball between the Dogs and the Chowds? Can't even imagine staying up and watching that crap until it ended.

I've been tuning in for the 8th-9th innings of these games so far...last night I made it 3 innings before I remembered I don't care enough to watch sloppy play and crappy managing any longer than that. Didn't know until this morning who won.

Haven't seen anyone calling it an "epic" or "great" baseball game anywhere.

I think the steady, escalating tension is the lure of these kinds of games. No clock and each pitch is a potential game and series changer. The longer it goes the nerves are even more stretched.
