Like I said I would not have pulled Williams there, but to go straight to he is trying to lose on purpose is perhaps the stupidest opinion there is. Well if you are asking me, I already gave the answer in another thread. I would fire Scioscia if Dipoto or Arte felt like he has lost the team, that is why I would fire him mid season. If this team continues to play at this level or if there is only a slight improvement the rest of the way then I would remove him as manager after the season. If this season is truly lost then hold on to Scioscia and trade him after the season.

I can't answer your questions as to why he made his decisions tonight or why he didn't pinch run for Morales 9 months ago, and neither can you.
