  1. No team will give him 400m, you’ve been listening to the fake news. The largest contract is 320m by a owner who wanted to sell his team. Won’t happen. 350m maybe, if the Angels extend him this year.
  2. Not when he will be turning 30 and starting his decline years 2 to 3 years in and no DH in the NL. No team will offer him that.
  3. Nope, he is a noted Philly fan, but yes Jeter was his faviote player.
  4. Well according to the ESPN article Albert did call Puig. So you never know. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/17422404/yasiel-puig-tries-make-best-triple-a?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  5. Pedro Moura ‏@pedromoura 2m2 minutes ago "Evaluators I asked like what Angels got for Santiago. They need to take risks on pitchers with potential & don’t have means to acquire" I have laugh at people getting upset over trading a #4 starter and taking a risk on a guy who was a top prospect. The Angels can replace Santiago. Losing Richards and Heaney is what F'd this team up.
  6. http://www.todaysknuckleball.com/inside-baseball-with-jon-heyman/yankee-intrigue-trade-gap-arod/ Los Angeles Angels "Brandon Marsh, the second round pick, originally had a deal with the Angels and while there’s word some medical issue complicated things (some say it’s his back, but the principles won’t comment), the sides remain in talks. Angels GM Billy Eppler says the team is “hopeful” to do a deal with Marsh. And why not? He is said to be a five-tool outfielder, someone any team would want, much less the top-heavy Angels, who have two great outfielders for now. While Marsh was quoted at one point as saying, “I’m not signing,” folks aren’t sure where things stood at that juncture. Marsh does have options, as he could attend Kennesaw State, but baseball people say he has a bright future in pro baseball. If the Angels don’t land him, this will continue a star-crossed year for them (they lost five starting pitchers, which might be some sort of record) …"
  7. I believe I read he's doing a showcase in late Feb. and will be available sign sometime in Feb.https://twitter.com/jessesanchezmlb/status/687006257094377472
  8. Yes, he's a better fit for the Angels, LH bat in is prime.
  9. http://www.baseballamerica.com/international/cuban-outfielder-yadiel-hernandez-leaves-cuban-team-north-carolina/ Get it done.
  10. I know, but there are 2 Cuban OFers, won't cost a draft pick. You would think they would at least explore the possibility.
  11. Alexei Bell might be a good risk, and might come cheap. Might be the way to go.
  12. That's why the Dodgers won't trade him. They need his offense.
  13. Tropeano Shouldn't be off-limits and he's Not a mid rotation starter, he's a back end stater. That being said I wouldn't move him for Blackmon.
  14. Jeff Fletcher pissed all over this report, said Angels are not in on any FA but think they will get a LF from a trade. Jeff says the Angels are in on Charle Blackmon.
  15. So you are saying he will have a better ERA then Darvish did his 1st year. That's funny.
  16. First off if the Angels offered the same contract as the Dodgers he would still be a Dodger, they would have to overpay. Also scouts think he's a #3 and Keith Law said a #4, time will tell but I doubt highly the Angels will regret it , even if he's good.
  17. He is? Are you a scout? Have you personally watched him pitch? Here read the scouting report in the LA Times and tell me he's a beast. A #3 or #4 starter. http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/la-sp-dodgers-maeda-20160101-story.html
  18. Why? Most scouts say Maeda is a #4 starter nothing special and then you have to pay 20M upfront. The Doyers have said they won't get in a bidding for Maeda, they don't consider him a top of rotation starter.
  19. yeah like signing Blanton. This could be just a bench move he plays 1B also, maybe Cron is being traded. But bullshit on he's not as competent as Ditpoto. Angels made the playoffs ONE time under Dipoto, over-rated.
  20. Why would you want to give up pitching for a player that the Yankees didn't think was good enough to start for them? That's a terrible idea. Also Eppler knows him better the any of you and if doesn't think he's worth trading for, then I would trust him.
  21. There was 3 teams that offered more money then the Cubs for Heyward. The Angels did not bid and are not having conversations with any of the FA. Angels aren't signing any big FA.
  22. I love how everyone thinks a 7th inning guy is worth more then a starting 2B. This was not a overpay, it was a fair deal.
