I'm in Australia so most of what I actually get to watch is Gameday running in the background while I'm at work, and watch highlights after the games have finished. My question/s here is:

What has Kole changed? I've heard his approach and coverage at the plate has improved since returning from the DL but what exactly has he done? Has he figured something out and is it sustainable? Did he change something coming into this year?

May 31 (before the DL) -   .145 / .195 / .179

Jul 5 (15 games later) -    .180 / .230 / .275

Is this expected to continue and get him back to his career norm, or have the shifts just completely ruined him? I've always liked Kole and having him in RF provides a defensive advantage over their alternatives.

Thanks

Right on. Out of curiosity (and sorry to derail the thread), what made you decide to follow baseball?

Kind of cool/unique that you and @Oz27 follow the angels from the other side of th3 globe, enough to nerd out on chat rooms with the rest of us.

I just fell into it back when I was in school in the late 90's. Started playing in a local competition after I saw a flyer and picked the Angels somewhere along the way. Probably shouldn't mention I'm also a Seahawks fan as well, but at least I know I'm not he only one

I very rarely post but I’ll jump in as well since Australia is hi-jacking the thread.

I have been in Sydney for 1 1/2 years (from SoCal) and there’s a decent amount of baseball fans here.

I play in a well organized rec league here and quite a few know the game well and are fans of various MLB teams.

Hey, that makes two of us!

I've been a Seahawks fan since '83.

Pretty cool that we’ve got some aussies on here.  I’m not convinced that Calhoun squatting over the plate has made him a major league ball player again.  Whatever the hell it was that we were watching the 1st 2 months of the season was not a major league player.  We’ll see how it goes.

Question for Australian folks : do people actually eat vegemite sandwiches ?
