Perhaps it's because neither is on the 40 man roster and they'd have to remove someone?  I'm just guessing here... I have no real idea.

We have room on the 40.

Definitely opens the door for Fletcher or Fernandez, but with Kinsler hitting well lately, and Valbuena and Marte, also wouldn't surprise me if they just went day to day with Simmons. He's too valuable to DL if he feels better in 3-4 days, especially with two days off in the next week.

@Ace-Of-Diamonds Thanks... I knew they weren't on the 40 man roster - I should have clarified and said I have no idea "if that's the reason" they haven't been promoted.
